About
Brilliant blue FCF (Blue 1 Lake) is a synthetic organic compound used primarily as a blue colorant for processed foods.
When digital synthesizers were introduced to the public, many composers and producers immediately embraced them. An important, if niche, debate ensued: Is it wrong to make music with artificially created sounds? Does anyone care how things are made as long as they enjoy them? Wasn't a blue Airhead or Jolly Rancher beautiful to me as a child?
Even when we create using sounds or colors that don't occur in nature, we cannot help but to echo the beauty of our world.
Dedicated to Francis.
